Huge Change In Michigan Law Affecting Anyone Who Slips/Trips/Falls

A HUGE recent change in Michigan law affects anyone who slips/trips/falls while:

  • making a delivery.
  • in a restaurant.
  • in a parking lot.
  • walking on snow or ice.
  • walking on frayed carpet, and many more causes.

The cause of the fall could be bad pavement, a slippery substance on pavement or on a floor, ice buildup which has never been salted, and so on. This law change affects workers for on-the-job injuries and consumers for off-the-job injuries. It affects drivers for UPS, FedEx, Amazon, Cassens Transport, Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, etc; it affects carpenters, electricians, plumbers and all other building tradesmen who slip/trip/fall due to debris on a construction site that the general contractor hasn’t cleaned up.

The bottom line is that if you have suffered an injury due to slipping, tripping or falling due to a hazard, call me to see if you have a claim. Unlike a worker’s compensation claim, in this type of claim you can get damages for pain and suffering, as well as for loss of income and medical bills.

I have decades of experience handling this type of claim.

Client Reviews
★★★★★
"Marshall Lasser is aggressive, always attacking, knows the law and never gives up. He won my Worker’s comp case and my negligence case against the general contractor." - Lou Ghaffari
★★★★★
"Lasser fights hard and he's smart. He won the work comp case and sued the homeowner whose busted driveway caused my injury. Mr. Lasser got a jury verdict for me in that case, when other lawyers told me the jury would give me nothing." - Barbara Wood
