I graduated in 1973 from Harvard Law School. I have practiced personal injury and worker’s compensation law in the Detroit metropolitan area since 1979.

During that time I have aggressively represented thousands of union members (Teamsters union members working at UPS, YRC, Cassens Transport, Smart, Jack Cooper Transport; building tradesmen in all the trades – millwrights, carpenters, painters, electrical workers, ironworkers, operating engineers), non union workers, and the families of workers.

I’ve represented injured workers and their families in car and truck crashes, no fault benefits disputes, construction accidents, slip and fall accidents, and many other types of claims and lawsuits.

I’ve won cases in the Michigan Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court – often after the lower courts have thrown out the case. Sadly, the justice system is slow and often unfair, but I’ll stick with a case for five or ten years and take it to the highest court possible, if I believe my client has been illegally denied his or her claim.

I’ve sued the prostitute doctors whom insurance companies hire to lie for them. Some of these doctors make $1,000,000 per year testifying for insurance companies, but I’ll take them on.

I graduated in 1969 from the University of Michigan. I grew up in Detroit and Huntington Woods, and attended Berkley High School. I have two children, three grandchildren, and a Labrador retriever. In my spare time I play hockey, tennis and golf, bicycles, and garden.

Many workers don’t know that Michigan’s governor appoints judges, so that it’s important to vote for a governor who is worker-friendly, rather than corporation-friendly. I’ve spoken at many union meetings about the need to elect people who favor unions and working people and their families, over corporations.
